Every NDIS participant manages their funding in one of three ways. Understanding the difference helps you choose what works best for your life.
Self-managed: You handle everything yourself. Maximum flexibility, but also maximum admin. Best for people who are confident managing their own finances and records.
Agency-managed: The NDIA pays your providers directly, but you are limited to registered providers only. Simple, but less choice.
Plan-managed (Recommended): A plan manager handles your invoices, payments and budget tracking on your behalf. You keep the flexibility to use unregistered providers, without any of the admin. And it costs you nothing extra.
You are not locked in. NDIS participants have the right to change plan managers at any time, and the process is simpler than most people think.
How switching works:
1. Tell us you want to switch: Contact MyIntegra and we will take care of the paperwork.
2. We notify your current plan manager: No awkward conversations needed. We handle it professionally on your behalf.
3. Your providers keep getting paid: We coordinate the transition so there is no disruption to your services.
4. You are up and running: Most participants are fully switched over within a few business days.
